Terms of Use

The agreement that governs your use of ComplyDIY.

Last updated: June 12, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and BenefitLab LLC, which operates ComplyDIY at comply.diy. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What ComplyDIY Provides

ComplyDIY is a subscription service that gives employers plain language guidance, checklists, and tools to help them handle common health and employee benefits compliance tasks themselves.

Not Legal, Tax, or Professional Advice

The content and tools on ComplyDIY are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice, and using the site does not create an attorney client or other professional relationship. Compliance requirements vary by situation and change over time. You are responsible for your own compliance decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional about your specific circumstances before acting.

Your Account

You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to be responsible for activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for a single subscriber and may not be shared. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Renewals

Memberships are sold as recurring annual subscriptions billed through Stripe. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically each year at the then current price for your plan, and the payment method on file is charged. You can cancel future renewals at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges and your access continues until the end of the paid term. We may change plan prices, and we will give notice of a price change before it applies to your next renewal.

Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription fees are non refundable, including for partially used terms. If you believe there has been a billing error, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly post the content or tools, not to share your account, and not to use automated means to scrape or copy the site. You agree to use ComplyDIY only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The content, design, templates, and tools on ComplyDIY are owned by BenefitLab LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. Your subscription gives you a limited, personal, non transferable license to access and use the materials for your own business compliance needs. Downloadable templates may be used within your business but may not be redistributed or sold.

Third Party Links

The site links to government and other third party resources for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ComplyDIY is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the information accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, error free, or current, or that the site will be uninterrupted or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BenefitLab LLC and ComplyDIY will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any penalties, fines, or losses arising from your compliance decisions or your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BenefitLab LLC and ComplyDIY from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the site or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
